about the 4 days in Jindabyne
We were at the little cabin in the photos for 4 days. We went fly fishing everyday. The smaller streams were running and had some big bad brown trout. Brown trout are stubbourn and aren't gonna bite when it's hot outside. It was too warm for fly fishing and the smoke was blowing in from Victoria...just a little bit. SO, we didn't have the best of luck fishing. The last day we headed to the wide end of the Threadbo river and I, Sarah, caught a fish. Of course I let the slimy little sucker slip fight through my fingers as I was taking the fly out of it's mouth.
The most fun was hanging out at the cabin at night. The land is owned by a guy named Brett and he raises his 7 year old son Ted. They have 2 energetic border collies named TB and Bo. A family of little black ducks hang out at the pond as well as lots of flying, crawling and walking visitors from all over. If you are thinking about a little trip to Jindabyne...let us know and we'll give you Brett's number. It is well worth a visit.
The cabin was built by Brett, the land owner. It's got a 20's wood burning oven/stove and big beautiful rock fire place and great beds. He had goodies for us too...chocolates, tea, fruit, warm bath robes...great for smooching in the woods.
Think this trip made Boone and I think that we might want to find ourselves a little piece of land in the country someday? We'll see.
